I read an article that there was a wildfire near Chernobyl due to warm weather, high winds and other factors. This fire started on the 3rd of April, and I'm not sure when it ended. I'm sure it did by now, but according to an article I found on Greenpeace states 22% of the trees/forest out there had burned down in the exclusion zone.
On top of this, this fire brings with it radioactive elements, as during the Chernobyl disaster, the trees collected a lot of it, now that they're bringing down, they're combining with the smoke.
But yeah, scare stuff. Search for Chernobyl still burns on the Greenpeace site to read about it.
