Has anyone here heard of this movie? I guess it's a doc about a group of women who still live in the exclusion zone and have no intentions of leaving. I haven't watched it yet, but it looks interesting. I am curious to see how they have survived all of these years out there. I wonder if any of them came down with any forms of cancers while living so close.

Oh yeah, this is about the women who are still living in the exclusion zone, even though they were asked to leave back in 86. I'm sure they've been asked to leave year after year. I might check this out. I want to see why it's so worth it for them to stay there. Gotta admit, these are tough women.

I haven't heard of this documentary, but I remember reading an article about them or women who lived in the area all their lives. I don't remember if it was on a website or in a magazine. It could have been National Geographic.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure it's national geographic that had an article about them. I think I read it when I was at the hospital a few years ago. It was nothing major, broke my leg. And I remember reading an article about Chernobyl, and how there are women who live there. I think the article went into detail about how they got their food and supplies. I guess they grow a lot of food, harvest food (animals), and get food from out of town delivered I hear. So they're not too far away from others. But I imagine emergency services don't head out that way. But I think they've come to terms with that. I couldn't do that myself.

It makes me wonder if they get electricity out there, or if they're living without it.

I gotta admit, these women are stronger than me, because I would never be able to live so close to Chernobyl. I wouldn't risk my life like that, but I suppose they've come to terms with their lives and living there.

I finally watched it. I highly recommend checking it out if you want to know how some people live in the area. It's really interesting.

I'll have to check it out when I have some time. Been meaning to check it out for a while now, but I keep putting it off to watch other things or do stuff. But, this weekend should be wide open for me.
