If I made a movie about Chernobyl, I think I would make a horror movie. I know we already had a few horror films based on it, but I feel I could create something unique. If you could make a movie on Chernobyl, what kind of movie would you make? Do you think it'd be acceptable to make a comedy in the setting? Maybe not about the disaster itself, but maybe current day?

I think you can only do horror. The whole area is just freaky to me and I could totally see why people fear the place. I think it'd be interesting to see a movie where someone comes out of Chernobyl with nuclear powers. Maybe instead of a disaster, it created super heroes like in some other shows and movies. Of course that's probably been done already.

Horror seems like an obvious, but a movie about the events wouldn't hurt either. Though I imagine there are probably many movies about the disaster. But I wonder if any of them get it 100% correct. I'd say the TV show is the closest to the truth, with some liberties taken with the story of course. But, I want to see 100% the truth so there is no confusion about the full story.

I could do with a 100% factual take on the event. I agree the show was fairly close to the real event, but I feel like they weren't 100% true. But I know studios like to fabricate some of the story to better suite what they want.

What about a comedy around it, to kind of lighten the mood? I know it's still relatively fresh and was a tragic event, but a lot of tragic events get good comedy stories made around them, well sometimes. But idk, I have a feeling people would complain about a movie like that.

Could be an alternate story about what happened, a fictional one even. But I don't know what could be done. Horror is played out, drama is probably played out, and comedy would be a bit offensive imo. I don't think people have forgotten about Chernobyl, and probably won't for many years to come.
