So how far is it? I read that the bridge of death was originally used during WWII by the Nazi's. But what was the purpose of the bridge around the time of the Chernobyl disaster?
Yeah it's a short distance, but like Stan said, there's no proof that some citizens stood and watched the events happen. Sure, some people may have stopped on the bridge, but even so, I don't know if they were exposed to the radiation. Though I imagine anyone on that road would see some problems.
But yeah, fabricated for television. But I'm sure there was a lot of people outside witnessing the events of that night.
idk, if someone were to be standing on that bridge, they likely would be dead within days or weeks probably. But, like everyone else said, it wasn't proven that people stood out there during that event.
But, if anyone was on that bridge after that, they probably didn't live too long, so who knows for sure.
